2026 Indiana Legislative Watch
These are the bills that have been presented during the 2026 Indiana Legislative session that we feel our supporters would be interested in knowing about.
HOUSE
HB1239 – Requires the Indiana Department of Health to establish state maximum contaminant levels for PFAS in water provided by public water systems.
HB1110 – Requires the Department of Environmental Management to adopt maximum contaminant levels for PFAS chemicals and effluent limitation standards for wastewater containing PFAS chemicals by July 1, 2027.
HB1321 – Prohibition of certain food additives.
HB1224 – Establishes an Indiana vaccination adverse events reporting system.
HB1196 – Provides that an employer may require an immunization only if the employer respects the employee’s right to refuse an immunization.
HB1190 – Line of duty disability from PFAS exposures.
SENATE
SB276 – Farmer’s market nutrition assistance programs.
SB174 – Various health matters. This is the big "medical freedom bill" – we highly recommend you take the time to read it.
SB221 – Pharmacist treatment by standing order.
SB237 – PFAS chemicals. Prohibits the Department of Environmental Management from basing a decision primarily on federal risk values that have not been promulgated through federal rulemaking.
