Cancel Culture At The Porter County Board of Health
A local newspaper recently reported that Jessica Jepson was removed from her position on the Porter County Board of Health after she made a social media post regarding a former classmate’s death. Jepson reportedly stated she hoped the death wasn’t due to the COVID-19 vaccine and that as a board member, they have been receiving lots of information regarding how deadly these shots are.
The Porter County Commissioners voted to remove Jepson from the Board, citing her actions as going against “statutory regulations.” According to the article on nwitimes.com:
“Her stated and written comments, or views, are contrary to the statutory duties of the health board,” Biggs said. “We cannot allow that.”
However, Biggs said he does not think everything Jepsen said was wrong. He said they will not replace her with a “voice that will not dissent and just go with the crowd.”
Jim Biggs, the County Commissioner who brought forth the motion to remove Jepson, is contradicting himself. If the Board cannot allow members’ stated and written comments, or views, to be contrary to their statutory duties, then that means any person holding a position on the Board will have to “go with the crowd” in order to avoid being dismissed.
Regurgitate what the CDC says, or else. Safe! Effective!
