Indiana Sues TikTok for Pushing Inappropriate Content to Minors
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has filed a suit against TikTok for luring kids to sign up for the app and then serving up inappropriate content them. The lawsuit claims the types of inappropriate content include sexual content, drug references, and profanity, which violates Indiana state law.
TikTok has long been suspected of sending personal information on Americans to the CCP (China Communist Party). Several state governments have recently banned TikTok from being installed on government devices for national security reasons.
A recent 60 Minutes segment highlighted the addictive nature of the app, which could have long-term implications on mental health.
